How To Hypnotize Yourself?

 

Do you want to do self hypnosis. Here is how...

 

Make sure you won’t be disturbed:

Before you begin your self-hypnosis session, take a minute or so &

make sure that you will not be disturbed during your session. 

 

If you are at home and there are other people with you, ask them to

not disturb you for next 20 minutes. 

 

Having quiet surroundings is important, especially in the beginning.

Minimize distractions. Sounds of nature can serve to enhance

relaxation.

 

Oxygenate your brain:

Begin by taking three deep breaths. Inhale slowly and deeply.

Exhale slowly and be sure to expel all the air from your lungs.

 

Most people do not know how to take deep breaths. Here is a

simple exercises that will help you do so…

 

      Imagine you have a balloon in your stomach.

      As you inhale the balloon is filled with air &. expands.

      As you exhale the balloon becomes empty & contracts.

      Use your imagination and take few deep breaths in this manner.

 

Do A Progressive Relaxation :  

Sit in a comfortable position on a couch or a chair or sofa or even

floor. Take 3 deep breaths. Set you gaze on any object slightly

above your eye level. Close your eyes.

 

Think of a calm, relaxing, peaceful place.

 

This could be a place you have seen

physically, a place in your home,

your bed room, a park, a beach, a

lake, a lush green forest, a place

you have seen in a movie or even in

your dreams. Just allow your self  to be there.

 

Imagine a light of very relaxing, pleasing color that is shining down

on you and entering your body. This light is soothing and relaxing

energy. Let this light enter your head, relaxing your head it moves

down to your fore head, down to your eye brows, down to your

eyelids, down to your cheeks & your jaws. As this light enters your

jaws it moves to the back of your head, relaxing your head it moves

to the back of your neck, moves down to your shoulders, down to

your chest and your back, relaxing your heart, lungs, rib cage and

every other organ within your chest & your back, it moves down to

your abdominal area and your back, relaxing your back & all the

organs within the abdominal area, it moves down to your hips, as

this light enters your hips it relaxes you and moves down to your

things, down to your knees, down to your calves and your shin

bones, down to the instep and ankles of both feet and…relaxes

your soul…of both feet.

 

You can go as fast or as slow as you need to, in order to bring

about total physical relaxation.

 

Now repeat to your self mentally, “I am calm, I am relax, I am

peaceful, I am calm, I am relaxed, I am peaceful, I am calm, I

am relaxed, I am peaceful…as I relax, I become more and more

peaceful with my self…I am calm, I am relax, I am at peace

with my self and the world around me…I am going deeper and

deeper in to hypnosis”

 

You do not have to say exactly the same words. But some thing

similar to achieve calmness and deep relaxation. So do not worry

about remembering these words. 

 

You may record the above for yourself in your own voice on an

audio tape and listen to it for repeated listening.

 

Give some positive suggestions:

Once you have achieved a deep relaxed hypnotic state, you have

the opportunity to give yourself positive, suggestions. The

suggestions that you give in the hypnotic state are accepted by

your unconscious mind, because they come from YOU.

 

There are 13 different principles to make your suggestions effective

that you learn in the hypnosis home study course. Here I am

giving you a very popular suggestion used in hypnosis.

 

Here is what you can start with, “Every day in every way I am

getting better and better, every day in every way, I am

becoming healthier and healthier, Every day in every way I

am becoming happier & happier

 

Awakening from trance state

You may go to sleep after trance or you may come out feeling

healthier, relaxed and serene.

 

If you wish to come out of trance, say to yourself, 

“I will now count from 1 to 5 and at 5 I will open my eyes and

feel alert, refreshed, and in perfect health. 1, 2, 3, at 5 I will

open my eyes feeling alert, refreshed & in perfect health. 4,5

(open your eyes) I feel alert, refreshed and in perfect health”

 

There are many ways to hypnotize yourself, remember change does not happen just because you hypnotize yourself. Change happens as

a result of suggestions you give.e.g., "I do not forget" and "I can recall

easily" are two suggestions that will produce opposite results.
